Economic data was mixed, showing faster contraction in Chicago manufacturing output than predicted, and Consumer Confidence improving more than expected. In equities headlines, shares of Lululemon Athletica (LULU $312) surged higher after the sportswear firm agreed to acquire home fitness company MIRROR. Gold advanced to near the highest level in the last eight years, oil prices, treasury yields and the USD/dollar declined.
